Yunlin Kids' Dream

Douliu is called children’s paradise. The Yunlin County Government built the Children Learning Arts and Leisure Place, the Yunlin Seed Dream Park, the Douliu Seed Park, the Children’s Musuem, the Yunlin Toy House and the Douliu Hand-painted House. It is to let kids find love in reading and games. It is to teach them more artistic and cultural background knowledge when utilizing these amazing places, parks and houses.

Kids Park

Kids Park is behind the House of Citizen-Memorial Hall Attendance. It is the best choice for family and teenagers’ recreational area.

The Kids Park ecological experience learning classroom will hold various family seminars and environmental education seminars. All kids are welcome to participate in the seminars. It is to help the kids to learn in a happier learning environment.

The Kid's Park building

The Kid’s Park building is built with arc-shaped facilities, and it is for ecological usage. The philosophy is “seed germination and growth”, picturing prosperous children who grow in this paradise.
The characteristics of the building consists of “Seed”, “Park”, “Arc-Shaped Buildings”, and “Green House”. The idea comes from a seed. A seed symbolizes not only the continuation of life but also unlimited hope. The exterior of the building is mainly white.It represents green natural life. The first impression about the park is mainly green, too. Therefore, green is the best color to accompany Yunlin Kid’s Dream Park.

The previous county head’s dormitory had tall concrete walls surrounding the buildings. In 2007, the newest county head tore down the concrete walls. Then it became a playful, elegant, and leisure recreation area for children. It will bring back beautiful memories of childhood with toys, places for reading, exploration, and creativity.

Yunlin Toy House

The current building originates from the dormitory of the previous Kung-Chan Police Station and Administration Office. It was renovated into a Yunlin Toy House for children to exchange used toys and dolls. The purpose is to reuse, reduce and recycle the products to protect the environment.

Toys are a significant media to children. They learn to exchange, share, and build up the importance of recycling. Also, it is a good way for them to learn how to interact, share and fix toys with other children. It generates craft creativity, innovation, construction, appreciation, flexibility and individual thinking.
