Yun-Chung Cultural and Creative Cluster was founded in 1937 and was a Japanese colonial-era housing facility for policemen and their families. It is 78 years old.
The Japanese style building structure is all made out of wood and the walls are all built with hollow bricks. Under the eave rafts, the gable boards are groups of wooden planks. The interior structure is a Japanese style bamboo mud wall and parts of the roof are piles of black roof tiles (pottery) with higher roof ridges, and the other parts are cement roof tiles.

After repair by the government, the place is filled with lush leaves. You can also appreciate the beauty of Japanese style buildings. Lots of popular writers and artists enter and station there for their art work, including Gramophone Record Music Story Museum and William Violin YunChung Music Room.
