Artist Yang Xiao-ru's father opened a door for her to reach the world of pottery art. In her teenage, she started to learn pottery making. Today, Yang see this as her career. Within these 30 years, she has built up a Momo Pottery Studio. She tries firewood kiln and also electric kiln to do pottery making. Her art works show conception of wildness and lonesomeness. Yang had been invited to have exhibitions in Beitou Centennial Pottery Exhibition, Asian Contemporary Pottery Exhibition, Jiangsu International Pottery Creation…etc. She is especially proud of her accomplishment of receiving invitation by International Art Exhibition in Paris, France. However, She says that is not the destination. She will keep trying, keep creating, and keeping promoting pottery art in her life.

Mrs. Yang artworks are generally burn with firewood, she go to Pinghsi four times a year. Pottery require a total of about two weeks time, the first week burn, and the second week to lower the temperature, these two weeks are required to control temperature of fire near the kiln , can not sleep or only sleep two, three hours. If you do not pay attention kiln temperature ceramics is likely to shatter, uneven color, but also failed to endure grief burned out, the whole process is very hard.

Because of schools' pottery classes, Mrs. Yang like to do pottery atmosphere, not so willing to play during the holidays, to stay in the classroom and enjoy doing pottery feeling. After that, she went to Tianmu pottery classroom, many teachers are her instructor, and later married, and was founded Mr pottery classroom together, for more than ten years. I think Mrs. Yang, love making pottery, willing to endure all kinds of hard to make a good, each piece of pottery as their own child-like to take care of all the things you like to do every day, this is my favorite feeling.
