Behind the Scenes

Deciding to make web pages about Qingshui Wetland, we started to look for an appropriate template for later modification for our web pages. Our team leader assigned jobs for each member

During the modification, we encountered a number of technical problems such as layout misplaced. We also came up with some questions about Qingshui Wetland.
As for the former, we consulted the project instructor for advice and acquired more knowledge about the wetland from our earth science teacher.

When the data gathering was nearly completed and our web pages were almost finished, we showed them for another project instructor who guided the senior schoolmates last year.
It didn’t turn out as we had thought it should be. Many major errors occurred, including the display of the template and digression from our topic.

After discussing with the members and the teachers, we decided to redo everything, including changing the template and gathering data. That was only about one month before the deadline.
When we changed for the second template, the old background display problem remains and we still could not find a solution to it even after having discussing with the teachers.

We changed for the third template in the end. It went exactly as what we hoped. This template restored our confidence again. “We can do it!” We believed.

In the progress report, each team showed their web pages and reported the progress for the teachers, but our team did not have the complete web pages to show.
We could just show the teachers our themes, organization chart, template, and gave an account for the challenge we had met.

We knew a teacher, Mei Zhen, taught ecological exploration through our school teacher.
In the winter vacation, we asked Mrs. Mei Zhen to lead our team and two teachers to explore Qingshui Wetland. Although raining, it could not extinguish our enthusiasm.

Mrs. Mei Zhen took us, in rain boots, to on a nearby farm to collect some living species.
All of us were very excited when we set the feet down into the farm. This kind of opportunity is too rare after all.

A day when the weather was fair, we requested Mrs. Mei Zhen to lead us to explore the plants in the wetland again. Thank you so much, Mrs. Mei Zhen, for introducing so many wetland plants!
