Experience of wetland activities

January 22, 2016,

Weather: cloudy

The Biology teacher took our members and two teachers to Cingshuei Wetland to explore. Despite the cold and rainy day, we didn’t give up going there.

The Biology teacher showed us some tools and explained how to use it before heading.

Due to the rainy day, the path was pretty difficult to walk. So…it took us lots of time.

Arriving at the location, the biology teacher showed us how to catch the little creatures of this marsh.Catching the little creatures, the Biology teacher told us that we should do it as careful as we can so that we won’t hurt the creatures.

The teacher showed us some creatures she caught in the container.
We could see them clearly only by using microscope.

This time we came here was not only for looking but also for experiencing on our own. It seemed that it was easy to do to.
As we did it ourselves, we found it tough to do .After practicing many times, we could master it easier.

Finally, we caught three frog eggs, two creatures and two Gambusia affinis. Owing to Gambusia affinis were not our target, we put them back to the river.
As for the others, we brought them back and observed.

We took a picture with the teacher in the end. Thanks to the Biology teacher, we acquired a lot from the teacher.
It was quite valuable.
