About TCOCO

Visions

20 years ago the TCOCO’s members all hoped that the orchestra could run for a long time and could reach the national stage. 20 years later with the hard work of the members, they were able to play their music at the National Concert Hall. Let’s hope the future orchestra can play melodious music for another 20 years.

The TOCOC is an amateur group that gives the members valuable opportunities and resources. It also allows us to perform on stage. We have learned a lot and continued our interest. We hope in the future we can have more sophisticated piano playing and carry on with the good teamwork. Say good bye to the amateur and welcome the professional!

Rational Chinese music is a huge subject that you could never fully learn. Therefore, I hope the members of the TCOCO can understand more and more about Chinese Orchestral Music and even pioneer the music in Taipei. Also I hope they can help us to let more people understand it.

The TCOCO is made up of amateurs with an interest in traditional Chinese music so they have had less time to practice. I hope the members of the orchestra can push themselves to perform even better.

Traditional Chinese music is something that must exist in the lives of the people who love it. Forgetting their original reasons for falling in love with Chinese music, and have a professional attitude towards studying, I’m sure the group can become the best orchestra in Taiwan!

In the future they will be able to perform anywhere and use their performances to promote traditional Chinese music. I hope they can combine the traditional with the modern to allow even more people to know about the orchestra.

I hope in the future we will be able to often go overseas to perform because we perform better when we are well prepared. We always get positive feedback when we perform in the community. I hope that through the Cyberfair even more people will get know about our orchestra.

When the orchestra and the performed together it was very special. The public loved it. I hope in the future we can work with other singers and I hope we can perform to wider audiences.

The TCOCO’s most important quality is that the members come from all walks of life. We are all very passionate about traditional Chinese music and that’s why we formed the group so we won’t give up. I hope the orchestra can keep going. They are my life. They give me such joy!

You never stop learning and you can always improve. I hope we can practice music styles and songs. And I hope we can take traditional Chinese music back to its original impression and breathe new life in old music.

The TCOCO’s members come from different backgrounds so we don’t have much technical friction. We’re just like a family. Apart from having to practice our skills, we, like a family, actually get along pretty well. Chinese music has become a part of my life. I hope in the future I can continue to work hard.

Li Wan-Huei

The TCOCO already has 20 years of history behind it and I’ve been a member for 15 of those years. I still have areas to improve upon, including my technical ability and discipline. We all need to continue to work hard to improve.
