About TCOCO

Inception

The founder of Yu-Tsai Elementary School, Ms. Guan, loved music and so the school holds a concert or attends a community concert every one or two years. For the community concert, the school’s own choir is responsible for most of the show, but they also invite music lovers from all walks of life to attend. Every year at the concert we see the members of the Taipei Chinese Orchestra Civic Orchestra (TCOCO) coming together to help organise the event. They help Yu-Tsai to make the concert have even more diverse performances and during the 55th anniversary concert, they even played a musical accompaniment for the choir! TCOCO always passionately supports us and help to enrich the concerts. So what kind of group are they? How many members are there? Why do they selflessly dedicate themselves to music and Chinese orchestral music? These questions gave rise to our interest in this year’s Cyberfair topic. We are interested and curious about Chinese orchestral music and so we established of cyberfair team, Allegro to learn more.
