We found PiaoPiao by accident in the back lanes of Yongkang St. The venue is like peaceful Arcadia, hidden in the busy Yongkang Business district. The gallery and the storage are not big and just opposite to each other. PiaoPiao is like an oasis in the city. As soon as entering PiaoPiao, the time flow slows down; you can appreciate interesting works without pressure but just peace. You can also ask the manager to introduce each works; every work has its own story.

The first gallery in Yongkang St.

PiaoPiao Gallery is the first one in Yongkang St., which is founded by a group of people who love art and art collection. The gallery is for young artists to exhibit their works, to give young artist opportunities of exhibition. Originally, the gallery is an antique shop. After redecoration for the gallery, PiaoPiao keeps the antiques collected by the previous owner. For example, the shelf is used to be surgery tool platform in the clinic; now it has rebirth. Let’s appreciate diverse art works in the peace old environment!

VIP Room

The manager took us to the attic which is not open to the public at usual time. The attic is a space for regular customers. There are many pictures exhibited before and kept as collection purposely. In addition, there are some paintings for future exhibition. It seems we were in a treasure-house; we discovered the amazing treasures with our eyes.

Antique is toy

The owner loves to collect antiques of different dynasties and different countries, and so there are a lot of treasures. For example, the PiaoPiao storage’s customized tatami and small Buddhist statue are the owner’s treasure collection. The most impressive stuff is the electricity fan used in Industrial Revolution in Europe. The fan still can work and the speed is changeable; it’s totally as well as our modern fan. It really opens our wide horizon.
