With the beautiful world-class gorge and archaic 3rd class historic site, the endless Central Mountain Range lays in front when you open your eyes and the grand and charming Pacific Ocean sits behind you. This is the last Eden of Taiwan and many would like to visit at least once in their lives.

Hualien County is located at the east side of Taiwan, approximately 137.5km in length and 43km in width. The north reaches Yilan and the south connects Taitung. The county is working on its tourism. The population has diverse cultures, especially the aboriginal cultures. Because of the late development, Hualien is rich for the Taiwanese aboriginal cultures: Amis, Ataya, Truku, Bunun, Sakizaya, and Kavalan. These precious treasures enriche Hualien with another sense of beauty.

 

However, this home of the sun contains a strong “human tough”. In this place of picturesque scenery born many outstanding people. It makes this small piece of land, this small piece of hope, add more caring and more opportunities. Therefore, Hualien was called the Houshan, the home of the sun in Taiwan.
