Service Journey

In order to experience how the service personal in Din Tai Fung serves customers, we invited the students from Ci-Sain Elementary School to have lunch at the restaurant, and we were going to serve them. The following was our schedule:

(1) We welcomed the teachers and students from Ci-Sain Elementary School. We lined up at the entrance of the restaurant.
(2) We led the teachers and students to their reserved seats.
(3) Then we introduced the foods in the menu.
(4) Also, we poured tea, prepared rice and extra dressing, and took away empty plates for them.
(5) We interviewed the master chef, and he shared his working experiences in Din Tai Fung with us.
(6) The two hosts ended this internship activity with appreciation and happiness.
(7) We appreciated that Din Tai Fung and Ci-Sain Elementary School provided us this opportunity and gave them the thanks cards.
(8) Finally, we said good-bye to our guests with professional serving gestures.

Although we had my problems during the internship, we were able to calm down and solve the problems. We had an amazing time. When customers said “thank you” or gave you a “thanks” look, it definitely meant a lot to us. This was a valuable lesson and priceless experience for us. We really enjoyed it.
