Sin-Fong Wetland of Hsin-Chu is the only wetland that processes two kinds of plants that mix and grow together in the northern region of Taiwan. It is also the only protected mangrove forest in Hsin-Chu.

	Feature	Up to 5 meters in height. Grey bark, leaves have a texture of leather. Florescence from July to August. Aerial roots found, when grown into the ground it becomes supporting root.
	Distribution	From India, Malaysia to Southwest China.
	Purpose	Act as windbreak. Producer for the river mouth ecosystem.

Avicennia marina（Forsk.）Vierh	Family Name	Verbenaceae
	Feature	Opposite leaves, green in color, oval shape and have leather like texture. The plant can grow up to 5 meters. Florescence in June to July, flower appears in pairs with strong fragrance.
	Distribution	Distributed in the coastal region and banks offish farms south of Taiwan.
	Purpose	Act as windbreak. Producer for the river mouth ecosystem.
