We started collecting community-related information in many places last September. The first time we went out was to participate in the presentation of community achievement at Tua-loo ping and visit a nearby handicraft exhibition. We saw sock snowmen made of socks, grapes made of clay, and teddy bears made of loofah sponge. We also had rice-harvesting meals for lunch. The rice was grown by hardworking farmers and carried in traditional bamboo baskets. It was indeed a unique experience. The second time we went out was to the National Library of Public Information by train. We found much information there and borrowed some related books to research and organize. The third time we went out was to interview the chairperson of the Community Development Association, and we also saw some pictures showing the community activities on the picture wall. Finally, we participated in a filial piety event in the Daqiao community, where volunteers taught us to treat our parents with honor and respect. Afterward, we made Minion pen holders out of clay. It was a fun experience. This Cyberfair makes me understand community development, and I have benefited greatly.

We collected information in many places and participated in various meaningful activities. We discussed and found the problems to solve to make the information organized and simple. I also experienced community activities and learned about the history of community development. Knowing the Daqiao community and its leaders in depth is an honor. Hope I can participate in activities like this in the future.

We interviewed the chairperson of the Community Development Association, and participated in Daqiao community activities to understand the goals of promoting community and keep moving forward. The community's activities are very diverse. Some parent-child activities taught us to respect and take good care of our parents and not be ungrateful people. We also participated in walking events held by the community. There were some stalls where we could play games and enjoy icy grass jelly. We could watch puppet shows while eating icy grass jelly or playing pinballs if we didn't want to watch the show. We also saw some creative works out of sponges and socks made by grandparents and a mother's graffiti inspired by her emotions in her daily work. We also got related information from the National Library of Public Information and borrowed some related books to research, present, and organize.

During the interview with Chairperson Tsai at the Daqiao Village Activity Center, I learned that the Chairperson could not speak Taiwanese when she moved to the community. She also found the community needed a lot of changes. She came up with a better idea to make a chaotic neighborhood clean and beautiful. In addition, she held some entertainment events to make the elderly enjoy the moment they joined the events. Those results were what everyone needed. After the interview and experiences, I better understood the importance of community development. Our team gathered the knowledge, discussed and completed the final result. By participating in Cyberfair, I realized many ways to help the community develop and achieve its goal. It was an eye-opening experience.

We participated in various activities held by the Daqiao community, including a walking event where many exquisite works were displayed, like sock snowmen、clay grapes、loofah teddy bears、sand painting and rose-scented soap. We could even make some crafts. We saw a young lady who was good at acrylic painting, and her inspiration came from her mood, which was impressive! We also enjoyed free icy grass jelly and played pinballs. At noon, the community served rice-harvesting meals. The dishes were tasty.

We collected related information at the National Library of Public Information and borrowed some related books research and organize. We also interviewed the Chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association and participated in community activities. The volunteers told us to be nice to our parents and get along with our siblings. We also made Minion pen holders with cans、foam clay and clay. By participating in Cyberfair, we learned much about community development. It took us a lot of time, but it was meaningful. Hope to get good results in this event.

Because of this activity, we went to the Tua-loo ping settlement to participate in the walking event held by the community. We ate delicious icy grass jelly and saw some interesting performances and handicrafts, such as teddy bears made of loofah, snowmen made of socks, and handmade soaps with a natural rose scent. We even learned that our teacher's parents ran the Tua-loo ping grocery store. We also interviewed the chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association and saw a picture wall displaying pictures of the history of community development. We learned a lot of new knowledge and realized that the grandpas and grandmas were so great. We interacted with them and helped them make crafts. In the second semester, we took the train to the library in Taichung to find information. There were also many interesting things in the market outside the library. Previously, I visited the chairperson with brothers and sisters, who were a grade above me. They once participated in Cyberfair. I had a thought of taking part in this activity then. I hope everyone can learn more about the Daqiao community through this activity.

By participating in this Cyberfair, we learned that a Chinese proverb taught us to show our respect, love and support to our parents, which was what the Daqiao community wanted the residents to know. We learned about important historical culture and knowledge. We collected information about community development in many places, such as the Tua-loo ping settlement, the National Library of Public Information, and the Daqiao Community Center. We also interviewed the Chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association about how the community develops. The community has developed local specialty and agricultural products such as grain powder, dried butterfly pea flowers, grape vinegar for keeping mosquitoes away and deodorizing and puffed rice candy.

On October 9th, 2022, we participated in a walking event in Tua-loo ping, Dacun Township. On December 3rd, 2022, we went to the National Library of Public Information to find related books about community development. On February 3rd, 2023, we interviewed the chairperson of the Community Development Association to learn about the history of the Daqiao community. On February 19th, 2023, we participated in an activity in Daqiao Village and observed little things in daily life. Daqiao Village has some tourist attractions, including Cypress Forest, Twin Hearts Pond, Cifeng Temple, and Qingan Temple. The current direction of the community is to focus on agriculture and promote local agricultural products such as rice, grapes, and king oyster mushrooms. Previously, it held a "Kung Fu Fried Rice Competition" and a "Smiling Happiness Street Parade" where elderly community members dressed as the God of Wealth and wished people a happy new year. Daqiao community also held kite festivals, rice harvesting, walking and running events, art painting, scarecrow making, and grass rolling. The community also developed a reusable grapevine carbonization method. The grape branches were carbonized and returned to the soil. Then, collect acetic acid liquid through water cooling to cool the smoke. The liquid is called grape vinegar, which can repel mosquitoes and insects. That's really meaningful. Participating in every kind of activity lets us know a lot about the past and the culture passed down by the community.

The first time we went out was to Tua-loo ping to participate in a walking activity where there were many arts and crafts made of old materials, such as snowmen made of socks, grapes made of clay, and teddy bears made of loofah, creative clothing, rose-scented soap. And a sand painting created by a mother inspired by the mood from her daily work, which was very interesting! After walking, we also enjoyed some icy grass jelly. The second time we went out was taking the train to the National Library of Public Information to collect related books about the community and borrow them back to research and organize. We also interviewed the chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association and helped grandparents make flowers with pieces of cloth. There was a picture wall focused on showing pictures of community activities. They said the past of the community. With the chairperson's explanation, I found that the elderly wore big smiles in these pictures. Through this activity, I learned more about the development and difficulties faced by the community. I also learned that there are many ways to solve these problems. Although we spent a lot of time doing this research project, I felt I benefited from this Cyberfair.

On December 3rd, 2022, we collected related books at the National Library of Public Information and borrowed them to research, represent and organize. On February 19th, 2023, after visiting the chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association, we saw some pictures of achievements of community activities on a picture wall. The pictures showed we participated in a walking activity held by Daqiao Community on October 19th, 2022. I still remember that day we played pinballs, enjoyed icy grass jelly, watched puppet shows and saw some creative crafts made by the elderly. These activities aim to promote and improve the community to move toward a good direction.

    Tsai Fang Ching

We went to the library to search for some information and books about community development. We also borrowed related books to research. The book said, "How does globalization ensure the sustainability of our communities and environments? "I thought this question was hard to answer. And it also said: "It must rely on public discussions through a mature civil society, in line with the principles of social justice and seek the best interests; instead of pursuing short-term political interests in a populist way." I think this makes sense. I thought that the information I found in the library and what I saw in the book were all very beneficial. They let me know the history of our community development and many cultures, which was very rewarding!

Community development is closely related to the school. From an educational perspective, the history of community development is the foundation of local culture. To let students rediscover the environment where they grow up and learn about "local culture" thoroughly. Thus, students can develop a personal sense of identity. Participating in Cyberfair is a chance for students to integrate community development.

Our topic has its educational goals. Our teachers led students to conduct field research in the community. We study and organize the information and interview elders in the community. We also understood the ups and downs of a community and how a key figure made an effort to develop the community. By interviewing the role models in our community, our students will raise local awareness and cherish their hometown.

The project can be successfully completed; I would like to give special thanks to Ms. Tsai Hsiu-Feng, the chairperson of the Daqiao Community Development Association, for accepting the interview and offering help to us. No matter how many times we interview her or visit the community, she selflessly provides valuable knowledge that our students can't learn in the classroom. This is worthy of admiration. I would like to dedicate this research result to them and hereby write an acknowledgment.

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL AFFAIRS DIVISION, LIN JINFENG

Daqiao Village, Dacun Township, Changhua County, is a rural community. The original community environment was very chaotic. The Chairperson, Tsai Hsiu-Feng, married a Daqiao Village resident and moved there. Seeing this scene, she believed that we all live here, and we should make our living environment clean and beautiful and make the community get better and better. The idea sounds simple, but it needs to make an effort to change it. Therefore she started to devote herself to getting involved with community activities.

As time goes by, after almost ten years of hard work, Chairperson Tsai makes the community active. The community gradually gathers the residents. They have great enthusiasm for the community; meanwhile, the elderly are willing to go out of the house to participate in community activities. In addition, the young people are involved with community development to help them grow and develop in their hometown. Chairperson Tsai is the driving force that ignites the enthusiasm of the residents of the Daqiao community. She is also a key figure in revitalizing rural area and making the elderly and youth happy.

We participated in many community activities and interviews and obtained a lot of valuable materials about community development. We would like to thank Chairperson Tsai for contributing to community development. She gave us the shirt off her back during the interview and helped us complete the research project.
