Daqiao Community Development Association was established on November 27, 1992, and was registered with Changhua County Government on June 7 of the following year. The first director was Mr. Lai Cunren.

Daqiao Community is within the administrative area of Daqiao Village, Dacun Township, Changhua County. Daqiao Village is located in the north of Dacun Township, Changhua County. It is part of the Changhua Plain in central Taiwan. The terrain is flat and suitable for farming. The Han people had reclaimed this area since the Qing Dynasty, and it has been more than two hundred years.During the Japanese occupation, this village belonged to Guogou Village, formerly known as Beiguogou, and Nanguogou is now called Guogou Village. Daqiao Village was the branch of Guogou Village. The name of Daqiao originated because there was a bridge leading to Nanguogou near the previous settlement, so it got its name.

The population of Daqiao Village is about 2,300 people. Daqiao Village is located in a transportation hub, the Provincial Highway 1 and the railway run through the village from north to south. In the past, Daqiao Village was mainly an agricultural region, primarily growing rice, grapes and other crops.

Daqiao Community Development Association was established in 1992. There was less historical data on the early establishment, and the currently available information is roughly from 2009 because the renovation of the canal by the Irrigation Association Water will affect the trees beside the canal. With this, the trees would be forced to transplant; farmers can't rest in the shade of trees as before.

Lai Zhiming, previous chairman of the community, felt the change in his living environment and began to lead community volunteers to care about the environment. Start from the dirty and destroyed places in the community, clean up and repair the environment to build a beautiful community. At the same time, it also began to seek external resources, for example, holding Daqiao Community International Work Camp with Vision Youth Action. More than 20 foreign college students and local youth worked together to paint the community walls, build a pavilion, and repair the roof for the elderly living alone.

The Rural Regeneration Project was one of the 'i-Taiwan 12 projects' proposed by former President Ma Ying-jeou in 2008. It was expected to rejuvenate Taiwan's rural areas through the integrated project and try to inspire the whole rural residents to build a consensus on home development.

To apply for funds from the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, Daqiao Community also joined a series of courses planned by the Bureau, hoping to learn how to plan the community development program and apply for subsidies to improve the environment in the community at the same time, such as holding community activities, promoting local produce and other activities.
