◎Pin Yi◎

While doing this project of volunteers overseas, I think the most interesting part is making the English self-introduction video and having a video conference with kids in Eswatini. Besides, I know more about Youth Development Administration. In the future, I hope I can go abroad to help people in need.

◎Jing Ling◎

This is my first time to join the competition of International Cyberfair and also my first time to explore in depth something serious. During the process, I recognize the fact that I should work more on my writing skills. Also, I discover there are quite a number of Taiwanese working as volunteers overseas. I take them as my role models and hope one day I can be like them doing something meaningful and help people.

◎Yan Ru◎

To tell the truth, I had never heard of Eswatini before I started doing this volunteering project. Before, my knowledge about Africa was so limited and not all correct. Through interviewing Vivianna Lin, I get to know more about Africa and Eswatini. Also, on the day of our school fair, I was trilled to see so many people complete our questionnaires. All the group members achieved a sense of self-worth and fulfilment by making more people know about Eswatini and Taiwan Starlight Charity Association.

◎Yu Fen◎

After taking part in the seminar, I realize not all people get the fund for working as a volunteer overseas. There are plenty of steps and preparation for obtaining funding. Besides, doing this project let me have a deep insight into voluntary service overseas and Eswatini.

◎Cheng Yu◎

I am happy I can join this cyber fair competition. Through this project, I learn a lot, including how to conduct an interview, how to make pie charts on computer, and how to extract key points from tons of materials.

◎You Jie◎

To me, the most unforgettable parts of this project are holding the charity sale and giving out questionnaires. Though these two activities are very tiring, I think they are both meaningful. Through these two activities, we let more people know about volunteering and we hope more people will consider to work as volunteers in the future. Moreover, I hope there will be more students joining our research club so that we can have more people to work together.

After interviewing Vivianna and Xiao Yin, I am spired by what they have done for people in need. I realize I shouldn’t underestimate myself. Maybe now I can’t do great things but I can start doing small things in a great way.

◎Rou Ying◎

After listening to Vivianna’ sharing of her volunteering stories, I become interested in volunteering. In the future, I hope I can be an environment conservation volunteer and help save the fading beauty of the Earth.

While doing this project, I start to think about maybe one day I can be like Vivianna helping underprivileged kids, too. When I grow up, I want to help rural children here in Taiwan to receive a quality education that will enable them to build a future for themselves, for their family and their community.
