Travelling experience
Vivianna Lin, now at age 24,
has plenty of travelling experience. She once had a
two-month working holiday in Taitung. Later on, with a
scholarship given by the Ministry of Education, she had a
long-stay holiday in Taitung reporting local stories. Before
she was 18, she went backpacking with her parents around
Europe. She had been to Austria, Hungary, Czeck Republic,
Slovakia, and Portugal before 18. After getting into
college, she also took a trip Peru, Bolivia, Vietnam and
Philippines. She even worked as a volunteer in Cambodia and
Eswatini.

Vivianna once told us that she used to be the girl who was
hesitant and worried too much. However, as time goes by, she
realizes being brave doesn¡¦t mean you dare to do something
dangerous. The definition of bravery for her is to push the
boundaries and walk out of the comfort zone. She recalled
one of her experience of going couchsurfing in South
America. At that time, she stayed with the locals. Through
this authentic way of travel, she fostered cultural exchange
and experienced the world in a way money can¡¦t buy. Among
all the countries she has been to, Peru and Eswatini are the
two most impressive countries.
