[Printing Now]Different printing methods Type of printing: At first, we thought
printing is just printing something on the paper. In fact, the printing techniques
apply widely. For instance, the letterpress is a type of relief printing pass
down from ancient times. They roll and press the paper to print the patterns
from the pointed pattern on the plate. You can see the result from the gold
stamp and packing boxes. There is another type called intaglio
printing that you can see from the paper notes and poster stamps. The technique
use for printing printed clothes or plastic bottles is called screen printing.
The technique use for usual printer in the office is plateless printing. After knowing all these many types of
printing, we know the technique to print the books is called planographic
printing. This is also the main topic for our research and the type of
factories we’re going to visit and dig in. We’re going to introduce it furture. Planography was developed and named from
lithography. It uses the theory that water cannot mix with oil, roll the oily
ink to the plate, the parts without the patterns absorb the ink. The printing
technique uses this theory is called planographic printing. The advantages of
planography are easy to make plate, fast in speed and low cost material. It
usually apply to the following products: 1. Book 2.
Magazine 3. Newspapers 4. Posters 5. DM 6. Catalogue
