Tsung-Huang Chen

Tsung-huang Chen (? -1868) was also called Zhi Mei. He was the second son of Ko-chuan Chen. In 1846, he was imperial candidate of Bingwu and granted as cabinet. In Lukang, since 1825, there have not been reports of success in examination area. Tsung-huang Chen as imperial candidate led to the literary revival in Lukang.

On the wall of Fengshan Temple of Lukang, Tsung-huang Chen¡¦s calligraphy couplet in 1859 was hung. Unfortunately, it was torn down in 1990.
