Support Changes a Life

“We can't find parents to serve in the committee of parents association. Would you like to join as a member?”
“Yes, I am willing to accept the position.” Daddy Wu answered.
As an undocumented mutual understanding, members of the committee of parents association, normally make donations as the basic funding for the association. As long as Mommy and Daddy Wu deemed it justifiable, they made generous donations as a gesture to Ahlong that they accept him, and the family is his support.

One day Daddy Wu learned that Ahlong went to play computer games in an Internet cafe. That evening Daddy Wu went to buy a new personal computer so that Ahlong could play computer games at home and stop going to Internet cafe. Ahlong's mom was put into jail for drug offenses. Mommy and Daddy Wu hoped Ahlong could avoid that destiny. So, they kept providing their trust, care, and support for Ahlong so that he could look at things from positive perspective

3-403Ahlong was once mistaken for acting as the leader for a wrongdoing by his teacher. Mommy and Daddy Wu went to school in an attempt to communicate with the teacher, clarify the true picture, and appeal his case. However, Ahlong was not in the school that day. After Daddy Wu returned home, he said, “We went to school to discuss the misunderstanding, things you felt that you were mistaken for. But you weren't there. I couldn't speak how you felt you were misunderstood. You didn't care at all. On one hand you didn't support yourself. On the other hand, you don't respect me. How can you get other people's support and help this way?”

After a series of similar events, Ahlong was moved. He discovered that he was not only accepted as a member of the family, but also got the full support from family members. Afterwards Ahlong was more obedient. Daddy Wu said, “I want him to know the importance of mutual respect. There is no such things as unconditional assistance. People have to treat each other on a reciprocal basis. The relationship between two parties can't be unilateral.”
