What is foster family, foster family service
Foster family is the family which volunteers to offer the fostering service. After passing the inspections from the Taiwan Fund for children and Families(TFCF) and county-level government and being certified, this family is listed and can start to accept children who need care on the temporary base.
Foster family service is an alternative child welfare measure. When something major happened in the child’s family or the child did not get proper care in the family of origin, the family service is to provide alternative place temporarily for the child in need to receive basic necessities for the normal growth.
