Daddy Wu reminisced the time he met Mommy Wu. It’s as if it happened just yesterday. Although it was nothing out of ordinary, it was an unforgettable time of their life.

Daddy Wu was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, the only child in the family; Mommy Wu was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the fourth child of nine. From these two diverse family backgrounds, however unlikely, they formed a union when Mommy Wu was about 20 years old. |

After junior high school, Mommy Wu went to work in an electronics factory to alleviate the family's financial burden and to pay for siblings’ tuition. After four years of working, she was able to save some money. |
Next, while working during the day, Mommy Wu attended Shu-Te Home Economics & Commercial High School in Kaohsiung City, majoring in early childhood education. She recounted, “The reason I chose early-childhood education was because I had no other field of interest and I found that children are adorable, plus I could gain some useful skills.” Since this was an all-girls school, there were not too many boys around. Therefore, it was a golden opportunity for newly enlisted Daddy Wu to catch Mommy Wu’s attention. |
