After the survey, we found some differencesbetween our survey results and the results reported by professionals. According to the professionals, the main reason to cause the problem is "not carrying out birth control." Each homeless dog will breed about 20 puppies a year.
The second main reason is "Abandoning." Many stray dogs without injecting chips may get lost or abandoned by the keepers.
Many merchants will "over breed" dogs to make much money. We guessed most stray dogs are pure- blood, but most of them are half-blood after we visiting the shelter.
We found that these differences are made by the misunderstandings about stray dogs. Government's wrong policies and the movie "Twelve Nights"(a movie telling us stray dogs' lives in the stray dog shelter) misled us. In our opinion, the slogan "neutering and spaying instead of killing" is prior to the slogan "adoption instead of buying."

As to the other five items, the survey results are similar to the reports we found online. After the movie "Twelve Nights" was on, the level how much our people care about stray dogs is much higher than that the government regulates. Our government should set "Animal Protection Act. " and re-organize the animal shelters, so that our people can see pets as our family instead of animals.

We drew bar charts by the participants' background data. We gave out 200 questionnaires and got back 189 valid ones. (administrators: 10; teachers: 45; parents: 25; students: 120)
