We are all engaged in railway construction
Railway Reconstruction Bureau has four offices, including the Northern Region, Central Region, Southern Region, and Eastern Region offices. Mr. Hsu is the administrative officer of the 4th level, with jurisdiction including the south of Hsinchu and the north of Tainan, with a length of about 270km. His team members always call themselves experts of “railway construction”, no there is one director, two vice directors, one chief engineer, 5 classes, 4 offices, 3 teams and 6 sections in the team. At present, the reconstructed elevated project has been completed, the elevated Taichung Railway is from Fengyuan Station to Daqing Station, with a total length of 21.7km, and 10 stations.
Break through difficulties in project
Mr. Hsu mentioned that there were many difficulties to be overcome in Yuanlin Elevated Railway, including the reconstruction of railway in the original place, maintenance of the original transportation function, demolition of Juguang Road Land Bridge before reconstruction, great efforts made in the preservation of Railway Silo, the change of soil liquidation problem and the project base pile construction technology. As for the overcoming of people disturbance problem, in order to reduce the land expropriation area, the construction could only be executed at night for 4 hours. To reconstruct the railway, it was required to make full use of every minute and communicate with the local common people.
