Questionnaires for students

We used the software on Google to design the questionnaires.  619 copies have been retrieved.

 1）Grade

Analysis：

　　These questionnaires have been filled out by students from Grade 3 to Grade 6.  619 copies have been retrieved and most of them are from Grad 5.

2）Gender

Analysis：

　　More male students filled out the questionnaires than the female ones.

3）The usual time uses the library at school

Analysis：

　　From the cross analysis above, we know that 5th and 6th graders usually go to the library only in reading classes, while 3rd and 4th graders also go to the library during the breaks besides the reading classes.

4）Ever goes to the school library in winter/summer breaks

Analysis：

　　Only a few students go to the school library in winter/summer breaks.  So we suggest that school may reduce the staff during winter/summer breaks or encourage students to borrow more books before the semesters end and return after the new semesters begin.  In addition, we will recommend the students going to the municipal libraries on holidays.

5）Preference for books

Analysis：

　　There are 65% of the library volunteers also volunteer for other groups.  Most of them even volunteer for more than two groups.  Traffic-guard and consulting are the most popular among these overlapped groups. From the analysis of their serving time and part-time volunteer, we find most of them are housewives.

6）Conjectural number of volunteers

Analysis：

　　62% of the students knows the correct number of library because they have reading classes and sometimes interact with the volunteers.

7）Idea about how long the volunteer team lasting

Analysis：

　　Due to students only study at this school for 6 six at most, they don’t really have the idea how long the team has lasted. Correct answer）

8）Idea about library volunteers getting paid or not

Analysis：

　　73% of the students made the answer correctly probably because they interact with some other volunteers, such as story-telling volunteers, in their daily life.

9）The part should be improved after watching the library-using video (Multiple options)

A、Put the shoes properly before entering

B、Be quiet inside the library

C、Pull the desk and chair lightly

D、Take only one book at one time

E、Take good care of the books and properties in the library

F、Bring the student ID for check in /out books.

G、Be patient when waiting in line

H、Go to the library more frequently

I、Be polite to the volunteers

Analysis：

　　Most students take only one book one time, so that they think need to be improved is “be quite”. Our project team will try to promote this part.

10）Sequentially, the willingness to adjust library manners from now on

 Analysis：

　　More than 90% students are willing to adjust their library manners.  This result inspires our project.

 11）The willingness to be a junior volunteer

Analysis：

　　Nearly 60% students are willing to be the junior library volunteer and are將近distributed in all grades from grade 3 to grade 6 evenly.  As for the rest 40%, most of them have joined other associations or clubs and are not able to be the volunteers.

12）Sequentially, the willingness to invite the parents or grandparents being the volunteer

Analysis：

　　Nearly 60% students are willing to pass on the message of volunteer recruitment to the elder members of their family.
