HTC
In 1997, the international computer industry had an involvement in violent wave of consolidation because of a highly competitive environment. The main character of our project- HTC was born in this wave, so the story begins.
In those days, there was a man called “Uncle Tu”. He was a professional R & D engineer, and he is Huo Tu, Cho. He faced the biggest challenge in his career. The company, Digital Computer that he worked for many years faced a huge crisis. As the result, the computer division was sold to another computer company, Compaq. He had to decide whether to work for the new company or to start a new company of his own.
At that time, he met an important person in his life—Cher Wang, she invited a group of working partners like Mr. Chou and Mr. Liu worked with him for many years. They founded HTC (High Tech Computer), and they started the journey of building the new business together.

Most people think that HTC is the abbreviation of High Tech Computer. However, after our interviewing, we found out that HTC is also the initials of Huo Tu Cho, the co-founder of HTC. Because of this project, we learned that how much Mr. Cho means to HTC.
Mr. Cho is a hard-working and friendly person. He believes that perfect is not 100 percent, and it should be 120 percent. No matter how small or tiny the flaw was on the product, he wouldn't sell it to the customers. With his belief and his leadership, HTC has achieved many No.1s, and HTC was elected as “Top 100 brands” in 2011.
