The main administrative office of Taiwan Sugar Corporation situates at Sheng-Chan Road. Near the road is more than 100 hectares of agricultural land. The road has a perfect location that benefits the subway system construction project and the mega sports and culture exhibition center construction project (Tainan Arena).

Situating within the “Zhuxi” origin of Tainan City, the road is full of historical value. Moreover, the Sheng-Chan Road area connects to Tainan Airport and Provincial Highway 86, and is quite close to Tainan Municipal Cultural Center and the famed Barclay Memorial Park. It has all the potential it needs to develop into the urban sub-center of southern Tainan.

Sheng-Chan Road situates at the southernmost part of Tainan City. It can therefore be called the “Great South Gate” of Tainan City. Anyone who wants to reach Tainan from Kaohsiung has to pass through Sheng-Chan Road. The road connects several neighboring road systems, such as Datong Road and Chongde which lead to the city, Chongshan Road which leads to the highway, and access road to the airport. Any of these roads cannot be passed without passing through Sheng-Chan Road first.

Speaking about the gateway concept, not only is Sheng-Chan Road the Great South Gate of Tainan City, but also the gateway to the Eastern District—the most crowded area of Tainan City. Considering the nearby a hundred-hectare farmland makes convenient land sources, it is understandable why the government choose to build Tainan Arena and subway system in the Sheng-Chan Road area.

The Sheng-Chan Road area will be the southern new home of Tainan Station in the further as well. The new station will accomplish linking the Taiwan Rail system with Taiwan High Speed Rail and Kaohsiung Rapid Transit. Sheng-Chan Road will become the ideal of local prosperity.
