Today, our teacher took us to Sheng-Chang Road again to see the sea of garden cosmos and chamomiles and the lines of Royal Palm trees. At the beginning of the journey, we walked carefully through a gutter. After we passed the gutter, the vast farm of garden cosmos and chamomiles came into sight. How beautiful they were! The yellow color of the flowers made me feel so warm.

When we kept on walking and passed the traffic light, we saw the garden cosmos in a variety of colors. Suddenly, our teacher said, “Come on! Let’s go inside the farm and take some pictures.” We carefully walked into the farm, fearing that we might accidentally tread on the beautiful flowers.

After that, we walked along a narrow path beside the farm. All the way, we could see many kinds of plants. When we walked to the end of the path, we found a secret place. When we came out of the secret place, we could see lines of huge Royal Palm trees. Looking up from the bottom of the tree, we would have a feeling that the Royal Palms were about to fall on our heads. Looking from a distance, however, we came to have a sense of security.

I learned a lot from this tour. Some places made me feel relaxed and are worth visiting again in the future. All together, they were just like an enormous park, some of which were even more primitive than parks. Much to my surprise, this enormous park is not very far away from where I live now. I feel so lucky that I will have plenty of time to visit the parks in the future.

Last Wednesday afternoon, our teacher told us that he would take us to the farm of garden cosmos and chamomiles.

He said that our History teacher, Lee, Chih-Hsiang, an expert in history, would take us to see the beautiful flowers next to our school and help us learn the farm’s history. Our first stop was the farm of garden cosmos and chamomiles. The flowers were so beautiful and colorful that we couldn’t take our eyes off them. When we reached another side of the farm, we also saw another farm of beautiful garden cosmos and chamomiles. They were all so perfectly arranged in rows and stood as neatly as soldiers.

Another side of the farm stood the Royal Palm trees on Sheng-Chang Road. They were so tall and they looked as noble as a prince. Besides, they were neatly arranged, too. I wish I could become as tall as the trees some day. “Wouldn’t that be a little bit too tall?” our teacher said.

After the tour, our teacher treated us to some ice cream. When we finished eating the ice cream, we rode bicycles together back to school. I really hope our teacher will take us to see the beautiful flowers soon; otherwise, we won’t be able see any more beautiful flowers once the flower season is over. I feel very happy to appreciate flowers in spring. When I see the flowers, I just can’t help but leap with joy.

Situated near Sheng-Chang Road is the vast farm of garden cosmos. From the blanket of the yellow flowers, we can see some flowers of different colors. Even though the smell of the chamomile is not smell as strong the plume flower, I am still impressed by chamomile’s delicate fragrance. When I think of the sunflower farm in the past, I can still imagine bees dancing and butterflies collecting nectar. Even though it is still winter time, I can somehow feel the warmth of spring. The beautiful garden cosmos and chamomiles surrounding Sheng-Chang Road make my heart leap with joy.In addition to the beautiful flower sea, there are also many Royal Palm trees standing along Sheng-Chang Road. The trees grow so tall and strong as if they are trying to tell us that Erkong will someday become as lively as they are.

On a Wednesday afternoon, Teacher Wang told us that he would take us to our school’s “back yard” and set out for an adventure with us. Teacher Lee, our leader, said that our first stop would be the South Station. Since we were all attending the cyberfair, we had to visit all the beautiful tourist attractions near our school so that we could further introduce them to the public and get more people to know the history of Erkong.

When the sea of garden cosmos first came in sight, we all gasped in awe at the colorful scenery. As we proceeded, we saw another sea of chamomiles. They looked so magnificent and brightly-colored. Next to the flower sea stood the Royal Palm trees. I felt a little bit scared when I stood next to the trees, because they stood so tall and proud. Even though the trees stood in silence over there, they looked somehow very far away from us.

After the adventure to the flower sea, we set out for our next stop, the South Station. The area was famous for its starfruit. Not far away from the station were a restaurant and a hostel. They looked unique and atmospheric. Teacher Lee told us that the atmosphere would be even better when the night fell.

I hope I can visit the South Station again. I never knew there were so many beautiful places around my house. Before the trip, I seldom paid attention to them. With Teacher Lee’s guide and introduction, I came to understand the history of Erkong. What a beautiful it was!

The South Station is located at the rear of Abba Hotel on Ta Tung Road. Even Tainan citizens may have never heard of the station. The South Station has a long history and was once damaged from bomb attacks in war. It was Mr. Lee that restored the station.

Owing to the irrecoverable damage, the South Station was closed. Today, the South Station has become a tourist attraction. There is a hostel next to the station and the flowers there are really beautiful.

There are so many good old things here in Erkong. This is not only our Erkong. This is everybody’s Erkong. This is the whole world’s Erkong. Therefore, everyone in this world is a part of Erkong.

In the beginning, we walked from the back of our school. After we passed through a few paths and winding roads we had been so familiar with, the first scenery we saw was a wide field of colorful chamomiles fluttering in the wind. As we watched the flowers, our teacher used his cell phone to take pictures for us. Many friends of mine started taking pictures with their cell phones and cameras, hoping to bring the beautiful memories home. Our teacher told us that something more surprising was waiting for us and kept us guessing as we moved forward to our next stop.

At first, I thought I have viewed all the beautiful flowers, but it was not until I reached the grade crossing that I realized there were larger farms of flowers on both sides of Sheng-Chang Road. At that moment, we all gave a gasp of astonishment, feeling amazed that there should be wider fields of garden cosmos and chamomiles waiting for us. We couldn’t wait to walk into the field, but our teacher was worried that we might feel too excited and accidentally tread the flowers. Therefore, we stepped into the field very slowly and carefully and moved closer toward the flower sea.

Next, we went to visit the sugar factory near the South Station. Before we passed the grade crossing, we saw the Royal Palm trees on Sheng-Chang Road. The trees were very tall. I was worried if anyone would be hit by the trees’ leaves when they turned yellow and fell. Ting-Hsuan, however, felt a sense of security beside the trees. True, different people may have different feelings.
