Ming-qi Jing

Minf-qi Jing was born in 1785 in Meng Village, Dongnan Township of Cang County, about three decades earlier than Ke-ming Zhang; he lived for more than ninety years. Coming from the same village as Jhong Wu, he might probably learned from the latter’s disciple, whose name, however, was not chronicled. Jing’s fist skills, long lance skill and medicine, reputed at his time, were all true to Jhong Wu’s teaching. Jing’s skills were inherited by his nephew, Dian-shen Jing, whose lance skill was particularly profound, so good that he could hit vital points of a person with a lance without scathing the skin. Both having lived over ninety years, they were representative of the early period of Ba-Ji-Men.
