After the central kitchen was on track, Din Tai Fung set up the first branch store on Zhongxiao road. After opening, soon some customers’ complained that the steamed chicken soup was not hot enough. How could it be? Everything went according to the plan. Steamed chicken soup was heated in the central kitchen. Why was the soup temperature in the Xinyi restaurant hot enough but not in the Zhongxiao restaurant? After several discussions, they found out that the problem was with the fuel gas. Zhongxiao restaurant‘s fuel gas was not strong enough to heat up to the same temperature within the same amount of time. The incident with the steamed chicken soup made Din Tai Fung persisted in not setting up branch stores so quickly. Providing great food quality is always the most important motto for long-term business management. This lesson has prepared Din Tai Fung becoming the top business in the market in the future.
