E-Ordering

In 2001, Din Tai Fung set up an e-ordering system. The customers could enjoy their cuisines with better efficiency.

When the customers come to the restaurant, the staff asks for the dining number of people immediately. And the waiters will pass out the menu.

Why do they still use the menu? Isn’t it e-ordering? Yes, Din Tai Fung uses e-ordering system, but also with the menu. The staff will key in the meals while writing down the number of people and their nationalities too.

The staffs mark the customers’ nationalities to produce the best language service. According to their nationalities, the service officers introduce food and serve the dishes in different sequence. For example, if the customer is Japanese, the first meals will be dumplings, soup and rice. If the customer is a European or American, the soup will be served first.

Din Tai Fung’s e-ordering system symbolizes her considerations and serving efficiency. Every Din Tai Fung customer has the pleasure to enjoy the food as well as the high-quality serving. So e-ordering is very essential for Din Tai Fung.
