Port Tea ice cream

Last time we used fannings to make Port Tea Almond Cookies, this time we are going to use those fannings to make other related products. Since Mr. Li-Min can’t forget the dessert he once tried in Checheng, a green tea ice cream with and mushed red bean, we therefore have the idea to make ice cream with fannings left from Port Tea.

Ingredients

  • 60g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 400 c.c. cream
  • 400c.c. milk
  • 20g green tea powder
  • stand mixer
  • ice cream machine



Directions

  • Mix the milk and egg yolks first then add the evenly mixed sugar in. Put it aside for a while.
  • Whip the cream then mix it with green tea powder.
  • Combine the ingredients from step 1 and step 2 together.
  • Freeze the ice box of the ice cream machine for 24 hours before so it could be used to make ice cream.
  • Put the ingredients into the machine for 40 minutes, and the dessert is ready.








Tips

  • There are only two elements when making a delicious ice cream, that are, quality ingredients and rapid freezing. Therefore we use milk and whipped cream to replace the coconut oil and syrup that others use to make ice cream.
  • Making ice cream is very easy, one only need a good ice cream machine, then it’s easy to make a successful and delicious ice cream!
