Painting

In art and culture class, we used new materials, canvas and acrylics, to draw.  First, we had to paint the background and we took HePing River which we visited last time as the leading role.  On the monitor, we saw our reference scene, blue ocean and sky.  We estimated the height visually and then outlined with pencils and brushes.  Different ways of holding the pen created various effects.  We put the background painting we finished in the first class in the back of the classroom.  It looked fantastic that mountains and the ocean connected all together.

After the background was dry, it was the time for us to color the second time.  Now, we used deep and light colors to create near and far visual effect.  This is the finished work.  Let’s see!
