If you had glanced over from the Er-Kong Tree House project homepage to here, by now looked at this wooden tablet, you must realize that how Uncle Huang felt when he wrote down this poem in the first day of Year 2010.
When Uncle Huang introduced this work to us, he especially mentioned the spirit of last two sentences. He also encouraged every member to “move” whenever you wanted to do anything.
If you didn’t have the courage to accomplish your dream, the ideas in your mind would be vain. It would not come true someday. Only because of such spirit Uncle Huang launched to build Er-Kong Tree House three years ago. And only because he did it, he got such great achievement.
Newest Devoting—Left Kitchen Right Lavatory
There should be a kitchen and lavatory in a three stories house.
“This was my new creation—left Kitchen right lavatory”. Uncle Huang pointed at two symmetrical floating small tree rooms at the entrance. They were new member which Uncle Huang threw in, in these two days.
“I should give a kitchen and lavatory to the third floor”. The very special parts were the roofs of these two small tree rooms Uncle Huang cut the discard cortex to many small square pieces and overlapped them piece by piece. To look at it closely, you would see the roofs were similar with the characterful tile roofs in Servicemen’s Residential Compounds.
Uncle Huang installed the bulbs in two creative tree rooms. When the night had come, the yellow light illuminated the Tree House entrance through ground-glass of two sides. It was so unique.
Water Source of Tree House Came from Heaven —
Creative Water Tab
Made a turn for the water pipe Surprised immediately.
What did you want to show us? Young lady Tan Chia Rong who studied at second grade of Ren He Elementary School lived next to the Er-Kong Tree House from she was a baby. Although she was a kid, she was a witness of the Tree House’s growth. She said she wanted to show us her favorite water tab today.
Interview team members did not discover the creative water tab before. Because the tab was buried in driftwood, it was not easy to find its existence. Uncle Huang installed the tab which was about to discard at the front side of driftwood that transformed it to be a unique creative work.However, you made a big mistake if you thought the tab was just a decoration.
Uncle Huang bent his back to turn on the pump motor, in the meaning time, Chia Rong turned on the tab. About five seconds later, a small stream of water flowed out from the tab. “Here came water, washed hand, washed hand”. The pleasant amazement made team members feel inconceivable and shouted that “it was so interesting”.
“Water source of Tree House came from heaven”, Uncle Huang said and then roared with laughter.
The Leading Actor for Next Turn—Stone Stringed Music
Kids could have more fun on “music”.
“I would like to combine discarded guitar string with stone to produce creative instruments. To punch a hole on the top of bamboo tube and tightened another side of string on a stone, an instrument could be done. Played the strings to have Dang Dang Dang music, it was awesome”.
Uncle Huang kept saying that “do what you want to do. No body will score you, right! Ha ha”.Uncle Huang brought us many different surprises and new ideas during the interview process. Often when we just arrived at the Tree House, we heard Uncle Huang from distance place that “hurry up, new stuffs. You could see new thing for each time”.
Threw in his idea into the discards to transform the discards to creative amusing works, it was the best image complied with the promoting idea “energy saving and carbon reduction” that advocated by the whole world.
The most precious was his faith. The faith showed a best example on practice of what one preached and well utilized on hand recourse to Er-Kong people.
