Er-Kong WanBaoLong - Huang Ru Long

A pure and simple Er-Kong resident.

Er-Kong had been through different age vicissitude and in accordance to the government policy of rebuilt Servicemen Residential Compounds in recent two years. Population migration and composition had been changing all the time. People moved out of the area were very common. But the interviewee, Huang Ru Long, who was interviewed by Ren He Elementary School Project Team, was born in Er-Kong area. He was an unadulterated Er-Kong people. He said that “I was a local people, living in Er-Kong from my childhood”.

Faced the setback Bravely to face Started over again.

“Crazy Youth! I lost in erosion life when I was young. Perhaps you could not image that now”. Because of gambling, he bore huge debt on his shoulder until he made decision to quit it. He made very big effort to have such life of today. “I did not fear that people know my past since it helped people to understand why I had different philosophy between now and past”. This was what Uncle Huang told to team members his youth history when first time interviewed him.

“It was not a problem to make mistake but you must be able to stop timely. You could not keep making mistake. Moreover, not only to stop, you had to find a right direction to move on”. When Uncle Huang said these words in the interview, his eyes filled in positive outlook of life.

Such optimistic life manner Uncle Huang stood in front of us, it was hard to image how he was different between past and present. Uncle Huang said to interview team member smilingly “the past has passed. To realize starting from now on was the most important thing. You had to find out the right direction to go forward or it helped nothing on the life”.

In the interview, Uncle Huang kept reminding us
to pursue right direction and face life optimistically.

Faced your life optimistically.

Even Uncle Huang had been through life transitions, he has confronted his life with optimistic manner. “I once driven million value of car” said Uncle Huang. The car was a clean vehicle that he drived for his job— a car driver of Environmental Protection Bureau of Tanian City.

Such optimistic and humorous dialog made interview team member laughing happily. Just when everyone stopped laughing, Uncle Huang made up that” the car upgraded from 5 millions to 6 millions. I drove such car all the time”. The words caused people laugh again.

Because of personality and work plus large-scale reconstruction of Er-Kong Servicemen Residential Compounds, the collection lover, Uncle Huang, had amassed many precious Er-Kong cultural relics in recent years. As time went by when Servicemen Residential Compounds culture were getting masked, Uncle Huang’s assortment were more and more precious in people’s eyes. “Er-Kong WanBaoLong” became Uncle Huang’s courtesy name.

The name described that Uncle Huang accumulated many of valuable Er-Kong articles which caused people fondly remembered. It also made the collection worth to see and brought the Tree House appropriate Er-Kong local spirit.
