Do not let the dream dissipate along with the cement brick wall.
Y2007 was the year Er-Kong area changed fiercely. From that year, the whole Ren He village of Er-Kong area was almost laid flat. The replacement of the peaceful land was rumbling machine and huge truck that came and went frequently.
Indeed, it was planned to build several apartment houses with ten more stories. The whole Er-Kong sky line and scene would have big transformation.
There were a group of Er-Kong people keeping old friendships in mind. They could not reconcile themselves to see old memory gone so that they looked for available commodity in the remnant gravel and put them together. They pieced up these materials in the park where uncles and aunts used to chat and under the old Flame tree that guarded the childhood happy memory.
Therefore, the new construction carried on like a raging fire, the construction on the old tree in the park also carried on like a raging fire. A “dream come true Tree House” that was full of Er-Kong people’s memory was born by stacking piece by piece.
With ours enthusiasm and the vigor, walked into the community.
To shoulder the sense of mission, get ready to restart.
It took around 3 minutes walking from Er-Kong Tree House to Ren He Elementary School. To everyone lived in Er-Kong area, we watched the Tree House in birth and changed. The feeling for seeing it grew out of nothing and changed was inscribed profoundly in every Er-Kong’s mind. Kids played under the Tree House after school, seniors relaxed under the tree and tourists came from outside areas were all the best witness for Er-Kong Tree House’s increasing growth.
We always said “ten years for growing up a tree and one hundred years for educating people”. Although the Er-Kong Tree House looked like a new spot that just built for 3~4 years, we found that there were so many stories and precious spirit that was worth to learn and explore included in this “dream come true Tree House” thought repeatedly interview and record process. This influence would not be hammed only because it was a 3 years old building.
Ren He Elementary School Cyberfair team hoped to share this dream garden which was full of local unique characteristic with public through the fair activity. Now please come with me to visit Er-Kong “dream come true Tree House”.
