Give rice to the disadvantaged

The volunteers for the activity giving 'charitable rice' to the disadvantaged.

A lot of rice are piled up in the front yard of the temple.

Each of the disadvantaged can get two dou(a unit of measure equal to 1 decaliter) of rice.

Yuan-Shuai Temple complies with the instruction of deity:
no burning paper money, no PUDU, no extravagant manners, buy rice and give to the disadvantaged with some money donated by believers.

Mr. Shan-Huei Chen, the chairman of Temple Committee, said:" Yuan-Shuai Temple gives 'charitable rice' to the disadvantaged four times every year, It is always at gods' birthday to give the rice. At that day, the disadvantaged who has the certificate gived by Household Registration Office Kaohsiung City, can all get two dou(a unit of measure equal to 1 decaliter) of rice in the front yard of temple. This activity is the best evidence that Yuan-Shuai Temple helps Youchang locals a lot.
