A leaf falls,

Back to the earth, nourishing young saplings.

Our trailblazer ancestors, have passed away.

They are buried in the earth, and protect our homeland.

Our children, leaving Taiwan for Southeast Asia, dead or alive,

Are always looking, looking forward to coming home.
