The industries founded Jhungli Prefecture Fishermen’s Cooperatives

It expanded the business and was changed as Jhungli Prefecture Fishermen’s Association

Direction department of the association was reorganized as fishermen’s association and economic department was reorganized as Fishing Production Cooperatives
1950

Fishermen’s association and Fishing Production cooperatives were combined as Jhungli Township Fishermen’s Association
1955

In order to comply with national fishery improvement, it was changed as Zhongli Fishermen’s Association

In 1928, fishing and breeding industries founded Zhongli fishing association. After several times of reorganization and merger, in 1955, it was changed as Zhongli Fishermen’s Association to the present.

Activities of fishermen’s association

Services of fishermen’s association was based on Agricultural Development Act and the rules of fishermen’s association, including fishery promotion, promotion of Head, Heart, Hands and Health, household management promotion, environmental improvement of fishing village, fishermen’s welfare, culture of fishing village, local industry development, etc.

Zhongli Fishermen’s Association distributed 70,000 black porgy fries the director announced the foundation of “Ocean Fleet” Taoyuan Zhongli Fishermen’s Association held “2019 Fish Returns Home”

in Yongan Fishing Harbor. Besides the performance related to environmental issues, it put the fries to the ocean with the children in kindergartens of Xinwu to construct their concept of sustainable conservation.

“Cleaning the ocean, harbor and the beach” to clean the coasts of Taoyuan

In order to respond to “World Ocean Day”, Department of Environmental Protection, Taoyuan, on June 9, held “marine garbage cleanup” at Yongan Fishing Harbor. 15 ships and divers of Yongan Eco-Fleet participated in the activity. They cleaned up the ocean, harbor and the beach to purify the sea and coasts of Taoyuan.

Since 2017, Taoyuan City has implemented “monthly beach cleanup” to protect the marine environment with private sectors. In 2017, it held 305 rounds of beach cleanup and cleaned 157 tons of wastes along the coasts of Taoyuan. In addition, Department of Environmental Protection, in 2017, implemented “environmental fleet project” and invited “Zhuwei Eco-Fleet” of the Fisher’s Association of Taoyuan District and “Yongan Eco-Fleet” of Zhongli Fishermen’s Association.

In “Marine Garbage Cleanup” activity, there were the themes “marine particles promotion”, “Taoyuan welcomes the guests who avoid plastic products” and “prevention result of water pollution” on the site. It constructed the stand to promote environmental education to remind the public to reduce the use of plastic products.
