Principal Rongsen Huang of Jing Siou Elementary School is a famous calligrapher. He is always amiable. When the Junior Corp walked into the Principal Office to do the interview, he welcomed us with a big smile. He said Mrs. Qiu made the cultural education of Taiwanese and Hakka work quite well. In three years, she made remarkable progress. Raoping Hakka revival responded to her efforts nicely and everyone on and off the campus held positive perception toward her and thought highly of her. In the Principal Room, the Junior Corp members were eager to speak Raoping Hakka to the Principal as if they were little Hakka Master and they impressed him. They were all under the influence of Mrs. Qiu, who is rated as THE Queen of Changhua Local Language.

The Principal taught the Corp how to be great little journalists, and he told us his impression on Mrs. Qiu. He said that his wife and two children took Mrs. Qiu’s Raoping Hakka classes last year and thought her course design true-to-life and her way of teaching lively. The two and half a year parent-child course had benefited the students a lot. She also volunteered in teaching kindergarten kids Raoping Hakka and helped them to obtain Hakka certification. She had become the spotlight of the media and the school is fortunate to have her.

The Principal said beauty shines through diligence. In his eyes, Mrs. Qiu owns more than just diligence. She is professional in what she does and persistent in what she aims to do, which is an admirable attitude. Her excellent performance earns her Distinguished Alumni from National Changhua University of Education and Taichung University of Education. Also, she won Huang Qi Literary Award, Excellent Publication Award from council for cultural affairs, Academia Historica Literature Award and Taiwan Literature and History Merit Award for Educators, etc. She is the pride of Jing Siou; the pride of Changhua.

Mrs. Qiu had turned her love for the land and the environment into action. She self-taught herself and obtained the advanced-level Taiwanese certification. At the same time, she gained Raoping Hakka Master Qualification and successfully revived Changhua Raoping Hakka. To take down everything about her gives the Junior Corp a valuable experience. Under her leadership, we look forward to the tide turning, hoping that Changhua Raoping Hakka can get out of the distinction risk and its success can be seen internationally. Its beauty should be shared to the whole world.

Lastly, The Principal gave recognition to Mrs. Qiu’s profession and accomplishment. She does not only possess the great teacher quality, but also contributes much to promoting Taiwanese and Hakka. She is literally a role model for the education realm.
