After completing shuochang performance for the middle grades, we were set to challenge another guided exhibition ‘Shuochang Wonderland’ aimed for the second grade students. Since the audience was younger, we adopted our scripts so it would be easier for them to understand the art of shuochang. We want our second graders to know shuochang can be diverse and fun.

Before the event, we prepared a lot of posters to introduce the art of shuochang, and we practiced during recess to see how we could help the second grade students understand shuochang in such a short period of time. We even designed worksheets for them. Before the event got underway, we decorated the room and got our props ready for the guided exhibition to begin.

Shuochang Wonderland

Shuochang Wonderland introduces the art of shuochang through exhibitions. During the exhibition, we tried to use simple and easy to understand language to explain each sign board. We tried very hard introducing shuochang to the second grade students. They listened attentively, and that made us really proud of ourselves.

Let’s Shuochang

│Grade 2 students enjoyed our performance video│

In order to help the second grade students better understand the art of shuochang, aside from Q&A, we even performed a short segment for them. We also invited them to play clappers, practice tongue twisters, and enjoy shuochang with us.

Shuochang Video

Finally, we played the shuochang video we had made for them. We hoped to impress them with our video.
