History

Most cities have busses, trains, and railway system, some even provide bicycles. However, these transportations are lack of interconnection and intercommunication. When people want to travel from one place to another, they face a very important overall plan. Bycyklen is the solution to the transportation.


Rates

Pay as you go

For users who plan on using Bycyklen for a shorter period of time, or users who just want to try it out.

It costs DKK 25/hour

 

Monthly subscription

For cyclists who plan on using Bycyklen frequently

It costs DKK 70/month, short trips during less than 30 minutes are free and the following hours cost DKK 6 per commenced hour.


Bikes

1.Adjustable seat

The seat is comfortable and adjustable with a handle that controls the gas lift.

2.Tablet

The touch screen tablet with built-in GPS is weather resistant, and reports back to the Bycyklen system every minute of the day.

3.Battery

The battery is a 37 V 10.000 mA lithium-ion battery. A fully charged battery provides assistance for 25-45 kilometers, depending on terrain, temperature and riding style.

4.Luggage Rack

The front luggage rack can carry up to 15 kilos and secures the luggage with a spring.

5.Lock

The lock is much like an ordinary frame mounted bike lock, but it communicates with the tablet, and only unlocks with the correct username and pin code.

6.LED Lights

The Built-in lights are placed under the front luggage rack, and automatically turn on when the bike is being used.

7.Belt Drive

The belt is similar in strength and durability to the belts used on motorcycles. It is silent and practically maintenance free.

8.Frame

The frame is built in aluminum with internal cable routing for lower maintenance.

9.Puncture Free Tires

The Puncture-resistant tires are filled with foam that makes the bike comfortable to ride, but without risking a puncture.

10.Electric Motors

The electric motor is a 250 Watt motor, placed on the front wheel. It provides assistance up to 22 km/hour, and automatically switches off when the brakes are in use.

 

 

How to return the bike

You can return the bike to any of the docking stations.
Remember:

  1. You can rent a Bycykel anytime and anywhere after you create a user account on the official website.
  2. Your credit card's information will be recorded after you create a user account, then you can pay by credit card.
The official website can help you find an available bicycle.

 

Expansion of Stations

By 2015 will expand 20 to 65 new stations.

 

Travel Planner

If you would like to check departure times of trains, busses and metro, simply select “Travel Planner” from the main menu. You will then be presented with a list of nearby departure locations. Select the one you would like to see departures from, and the tablet will display a list of departures for this selected location.
