Beitou Community College is one of the lifelong learning institutions in Taipei City. Xie Guo-qing, the chariman of Beitou Community College has been devoted himself to the position for seven years. Under his leadership, the college has made its great achievements on enrollment, especially on the curriculum of Pottery Art. Pottery Art is so popular that the college has tried her best to renew the related facilities. More electrical kilns have been installed, and more spacious exhibition hall has been established. Also the setting of studio has been updated. All the efforts they have done enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The new artwork, pottery lantern, now as a landscape, has been set in front of the entrance of the college. In the future, the students of Pottery Art are going to participate the outdoor art decoration in Beitou District. Hopefully this will help the renaissance of Pottery Town, Beitou. And more and more locals would like to put themselves in pottery art.

Reflection：

Mr. Xie, the chariman of Beitou Community College, decorated the front gate of college with pottery plate and a large ceramic lamp so it becom more beautiful than before. It also shows handmake pottery spirit in public space, so that more people will know the beauty of pottery.

After this visit I understand that there are some people Beitou promotion of pottery culture silently, this spirit worthy of our admiration.
