At the end-of-term exhibition this time, we planned five zones. Zone one introduced the relevant history and introduction of Ri Xing Type Foundry. Zone two was the DIY experiential area of movable type. Students could feel the subtle of movable type and the beauty of traditional type technique through practical operation. Zone three was video area that was displaying video “typecasting people” and introduced the difficulty and challenges that Taiwan Ri Xing Type Foundry facing in order to preserve traditional typecasting technique and culture. Zone four was the E-Learning area and students could learn the process of type picking up and layout arrangement through game “layout expert GO!” Zone five was the students’ artwork appreciation area, and displayed the relevant work of movable type that students produced during the courses of art and humanity area.
