The structure of "Lu Ban lock" is similar with that
of mortise and tenon. Six interspersed
by strips are stuck together to form a firm
three-dimensional cross structure. In the past, a
teacher would teach his apprentices how to dismantle
and assemble the lock. Visitors were excited about
the lock and eager to try to assemble and wanted to
finish it faster than the others. |
At the workshop, Master Shih made a lot of common
mortise and tenon for visitors to have a look.
Visitors were excited and wanted to try to lock
them. |
