  Colored painting wall

As you step into the door, you will find the traditional patterns painted by Master Shih on the wall. The patterns add vitality to the average and grey wall.

Top: The Chinese characters of dragon (pinyin, long, ) and turtle (pinyin, gui, ) have the similar pronunciation as the phrase of return in glory (pinyin, rong gui, 榮歸).

Upper right: A drawing of Qing dynasty and utensils for worship in the elegant chamber of a rich family, including incense burners, vases, ruyi, gourds, brushes, books, flying bats, and so on, showing a rich and elegant atmosphere.

Middle: A vase on the back of an elephant. Elephant (pinyin, xiang, ) has the same pronunciation as the characters (pinyin, xiang) in the phrase 宰相 (pinyin, zai xiang, a chancellor). A vase (pinyin, yi ping, 一瓶) has the same pronunciation as 一品 (pinyin, yi pin) which means first rank. The banana leaf stands for the "summon by the emperor", meter stick, and official seal.

Bottom: A kylin is riding on four treasures. A kylin is a benevolent beast the legend. The four treasures are: flag (praying), ball (demand), halberd (auspiciousness), chime stone (celebration), which are common auspicious patterns.

Bottom right: Can you guess what is it? A bat is biting a gold coin, which stands for blessing, fortune, and "Jinfu" (gold fortune)!

Color painted flooring

In addition to the walls, the patterns of guiding feet on the floor were also painted by Master Shih himself, including auspicious patterns like dragon, phoenix, Kylin, bat, pine, bamboo, and other, common fishes, frogs, snails, and modern constellations and the zodiac. Visitors are amazed at the woodcarving works as well as the colored painting on the floor. Children like to take a photo of their own constellations and zodiac!
