“YU-FENG Cheongsam” was founded by Master Chen's father in 1960s. Master Chen's father was a suit tailor original, but he tried to learn to make Cheongsam in order to meet the great demand of the prosperous of clubs in Dadao-Cheng.

“YU-FENG Cheongsam” is named by Master Chen's mother. Because cheongsam is a dress of woman, Master Chen's mother named the store as “YU-FENG” that is a girl's name. Master Chen's mother hoped the name “YU-FENG” to make their female customers feel warm and comfortable.
“YU-FENG Cheongsam” has 20 tailors working together in its heyday. The business is very prosperous. The tailors are divided into 2 groups, one group is sewing suit, another is sewing cheongsam.
In “YU-FENG Cheongsam”
Master Chen learned cheongsam and western clothes in the beginning. Because most of orders are assigned to cheongsam, Master Chen concentrated on sewing cheongsam later. With the decline of Dadao-Cheng, clubs gradually moved to Beitou. Master Chen usually took fabric to Beitou to provide public relations girls custom-made cheongsams. Usually Master Chen measured the body size in the morning, and the customs could get their new custom-made cheongsams the next day. Since Master Chen is a master of cheongsam and very diligent, his business is very good.
Good fortune won't last forever. Custom-made cheongsam decline gradually after the government prohibits clubs in Taiwan.
Master Chen wanted to be changing careers at first, but he has fond feelings for cheongsam, coupled with stating making costumes. He finally continuous sews custom-made cheongsams and operates “YU-FENG Cheongsam”.
