The contrabass has the lowest pitch and the biggest appearance in the violin family. Due to its long length of 200cm, one needs to stand and play it. Its sounds are solemn and deep. If it is used in solo, the sounds may be a bit monotonous. But if it is used in ensembles, it can enrich the tone of the entire piece and produce three-dimensional sound effects. |

I thought the contrabass and the cello were similar instruments, but after striking its strings, I realized that they had many differences. One needs to stand to play the contrabass. Its sounds are lower and deeper, while the sounds of the cello are mellower and fuller. |
