Q1.Why did you choose this profession in the first place?
A1. In the past, we were not able to choose our ideal job. In order to support the family, I started to work when I was in junior high.

Q2.Many workshops have moved to other countries. Why don’t you do that?
A2.It needs a lot of money to move abroad. We are afraid we might lose money.

Q3.Do you like this job?
A3.Yes! How can I not love it for I have been working at if for so long? You will like it as long as you have confidence in it.

Q4. .What was the most impressive memory to you about this profession?
A4. There a year that I make a lot of money. I used this money to buy samples of short sweaters which were very popular in Japan then. However, at that time, in Taiwan it was the long sweaters that were in fashion. So our sweaters did not sell well. As a result, I lost about 3 or 4 million. During that time, I was sleepless. Luckily, several months later, short sweaters gained popularity in Taiwan. Then I earned the money back.

Q5.What thoughts do you have about clothing industry? What is your expectation?
A5.Recently, the business is quite well. If you focus on your customer group, it can be quite stable.

Q6.Which place has the best business?
A6.The northern part is relatively better. The south is too hot.

Q7.Will you pass on your factory to child?
A7.I will pass it on to him if he likes it. But he has to be able to bear great burdens.

Q8.Do you know anyone in Luzhou we might interview next time?
A8.Few people are still in this business

Mr. Tien-chu Huang accepted our interview and taught us a lot. His business is focused on old women so the price can not be too high. We asked him why not make some high-priced clothes. He said that we had to have our own orientation. It is impractical to have all customer groups. If not, one may end up in nothing. We think what he said makes sense.
