The foundation locates from the first floor to the third floor of the building when the community’s fourth construction session was completed. There are the first international communicative center of community arts in Taiwan, an international puppet show theater with the capacity of 150 people, studios for artists, a café gallery, a musical dancing classroom and an artistic classroom on the first and second floors. The third floor is used as the office.

The International Communicative Center of Community Arts

Our first sight of the lobby was totally different from what we thought a lobby of a building should be. It is not shiny with gorgeous décor at all, though it was very spacious. When we entered the building, more than half of the lobby was occupied by normal worktables, carnival props, and a weaving machine. We saw a staff tinkering the props for carnival festival. She told us that she could give the prop a second life by putting some more decorations and fixing it. One French artist was sketching drafts on the floor. He was trying to make paper balls with brown papers, which would be hung in the ceiling. Walking through a side door, we saw the puppet show theater which can host up to 150 audiences.

The rest of the first floor space was the International Communicative Center of Community Arts. There was a bar, tables, chairs, and couches for users to chat and rest. A colorful monster was sitting below the ceiling, holding a burger in one hand, and Taiwan beer in the other. It was a prop made of cardboards and newspapers from one previous carnival festival. The foundation kept it as an installation art.

The Office of the Foundation

Climbing up the stairs to the second floor, we saw the office of Brazilian chief inspector of art on the left hand side. The inspector was designing costumes. Samba costumes from previous carnivals were putting on a row of models in the office. The Daydream Storehouse and dancing classroom are on the right-hand side.

The third floor is also used as the office. Photos of foundation members in dream carnival festivals through all these years were posted on the wall, which was in the color of warming orange. We also saw some props on the wall. There are several desks and one sofa, which was sometimes the staff's bed.

The wall of the office is passionate orange.

Staffs' photos from the carnival occupies the whole wall.照

The ceiling is also decorated with pictures and patterns.

Daydream Storehouse

When we stepped into the daydream storehouse in the second floor, we were welcomed by a wall full of sketches and drafts from staffs and artists. Another wall was covered by members’ dreams. What is more interesting is the daydream doll standing by the door. She said that all daydreams are welcomed here. That’s why she had words scribbled all over herself.

Daydream Storehouse is the studio of artists staying in the foundation. Not only the artists’ creativities, but many ideas and drafts of previous activities and works were born here.

"The Power of Day Dream" is written on the wall.

Please scribble your daydream on the daydream doll.

It is where the artists make day dreams.
