At beginning, when we were discussing the relevant experiments on pollution, we wondered if we could use our school laboratory equipment to measure some pollutants; therefore, we decided to do air pollution measurement and water pollution testing. Students at eighth grade haven’t taken chemical course, so teachers suggested they do the air pollution measurement to measure the amount of falling dust in Hsien-Hsi. They should measure it once a week and it lasted for two months. Students at ninth grade are more familiar with chemical formula, so they did the experiment on groundwater got in local, and designed an experiment to test if the groundwater contains other substance in Hsien-Hsi. These two experiments are different types. Air pollution falling dust is long time record and water quality experiment got results from dropping the testing solution; although they looked like easy jobs, the content behind them was very complicated. We did learn a lot from the experiments.
