Super Missions

（1）Numbering the books

　　The volunteers must get into the “ National Library System of “The Ministry of Education of the Republic of China”to log in ,and input the basic information of books.After that , the book can be catalogued into our “ Xisong Library System ”.Then , the volunteers print the label of the book out , paste the sticker with the Login ID on the cover of book and the title page ,also paste the sticker with the number of classification and author on the narrow side of the book.

（2）Washing the books

　　After a circulation outside , the books of our library would always be “washed” by the dab

hands  of our volunteers.They will be returned on the bookshelves after being neatly dressed and tided up.We can see the attention and consideration of how the volunteers love  and cherish the books.

（3）The flash scanner

　　The students have only ten minutes to borrow the books , so the action which the volunteers process the scanning needs to be fast and accurate.

   The borrowing and returning books would be processed by two computers separately by two volunteers. It’s convenient for us to return and borrow other books as quickly as possible.

（4）Fixing , mending , repairing , and renovating

　　The books would get old ,dirty ,and broken under inappropriate use or frequent borrowing and reading.The volunteers turn out to be the nurses of books.They exert themselves to cure the books , such as fixing , mending , sewing…etc.A majority of the sick books can be returned back to the bookshelves to welcome the next child who loves to read.

（5）Finding the original position where the books should be—quickly , precisely , and accurately.

　　One cannot look down upon the action of returning books ! If one is not on familiar terms with the background and the identity of each book , it’s not so easy to handle.

　　The volunteers taught us that all you have to do is to grasp the way of checking the “ breakdown figures ”on the book labels ,and you can find the home of each book.

（6）My favorite—great master of activities

　　During the week of English Halloween Activity , we have seen the volunteers recommend the good English books and exert all their strength  to put on a show with the capes made of the black garbage bag. We cannot help running to the library every interval of the classes.          Certainly ,there are plenty of feedback and many touching words from the bottom of our hearts on the wall of Christmas thankful activity. Besides , the“ Exhibition of Books ”did us a very big favor of our“ Exhibition of Science .”

　　In addition ,the “ Exchange of Second-hand Books” is a lot of fun to find the treasure !
